About Our Institution
A.R. Engineering College is one of the institutions of Sri Venkatachalapathy Educational Trust which was started on 1996 at Vadakuchipalayam, Kappiyampuliyur post, Villupuram with the goal to stress the prime values like Integrity, Transparency, Accessibility, Equity, and Quality. The college is affiliated with Anna University of Technology, Chennai. The college has grown considerably under the dynamic leadership of its Vice Chairman Sri.M.Kuberan, Secretary sri.M.Prabhu and Principal Dr.S.Padamalal, spear heading all academic and non academic activities.

To emerge as a ladder for rural students in creating and disseminating knowledge, and providing them a unique learning experience , and other areas of scholarship that will best serve the survival and betterment of mankind and 'lead-role' in grooming the younger generation socially responsible and professionally competent to face the challenges ahead.

Dear students,
It is my warm welcome to all students, to the campus of this great educational institution and best wishes for them. I expect a memorable, meaningful and rewarding tenure for them and emerge as world-class engineers, scientists, architects and great professionals with a human heart. I would urge upon them to prove as good human beings and sincere citizens of this great country, India. Also I would like to thank the parents of our students and every one visiting this institution, to go around the beautiful and sprawling campus of A.R Engineering College and also for their kind support.
A.R Engineering College, which was set up in 2008, has laid the foundation of modern engineering education. Over the years, A.R Engineering College has evolved to reach and hold a unique position of pride in the technical education system in India. This college is known all over India for providing quality, technological and scientific education.
A.R Engineering College had a rich heritage of the past and had its standing as one of the best engineering colleges in VILLUPARM. As of now, A.R Engineering College has 5 academic departments supported by the several service centers like Computer Centre, Instrumentation Centre and Central Library. The Institute offers 5 undergraduate (B.E) courses in Engineering
We have a total strength of 3500 students , who are edified by the sufficient versatile faculties and supporting staff. A.R College of Engineering has a rich Alumni base that has significantly contributed in the national building process.

A.R. Engineering College aims at the complete development of the student and our staff are hand-picked and trained to ensure that the students are given every possible support in all their pursuits, academic and personal. It is a multidisciplinary institution and this also ensures that the students are readily accessed with a wide range of academic material.
Sports and other co-curricular activities are encouraged and the students are given every form of support to develop their talents in all fields. Our brand of education does not have narrow horizons, we believe in exposure. Our students are encouraged to widen their knowledge not only in their academics but also in soft skills, social, ethical and moral values along with personality development.
In this technological age, knowledge is just a click away and we ensure that every student of the college has only the best of technology at his/her disposal. The college provides excellent infrastructure, state -of -the art laboratories, qualified staff and enormous facilities like food served in the spacious mess, canteen, anti-ragging campus, safety buses, separate hostel for boys& girls as to feel at home, indoor and outdoor for every sport and games and so on.

AREC Educational and Charitable Trust has been contributing in the mission of transforming rural India into developed nation by running A.R. Engineering College at VILLUPURAM (AREC) with innovation, creativity, human intelligence and patience.“Service to Human being is Service to God”.
It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you to the creative world of AREC which has an eco-friendly campus and is equipped with state-of-art infrastructure. We have well equipped labs, workshops and libraries to help the students in attaining the highest standards in academics, placement and professional skills. The campus has adequate sports infrastructure to take care of Sports and recreational activities.
Creating better human beings’ is our motto and we can do that when we are able to mold our students to be good human beings with values which are embedded for life. We aim to provide an overall development that nurtures them towards becoming strong and focused human beings. Soft skills and educational skills are what the institution seeks to provide every student at the campus itself through its AREC PATTERN.
